Recently, Mike and I decided that we needed look into resurfacing our pool. It had the old, light original pebble surface that had started to become discolored and we knew that at some point we were going to have issues with leaks. Sure enough, we finally had a leak that just couldn’t be found, somewhere in our spa and after having our pool technician attempt to fix it several times, we decided it was just time to get the resurfacing done.
We solicited several quotes from vendors we knew (and some we didn’t know) here in town and decided to use Damian Maroney from Hydrotech Pools. Damian came out, measured, set an appointment with us in his office/showroom, discussed the possibilities and options and prices. The showroom has many options and tons of colors to choose from. His pricing was the most competitive and his company was able to detect the leaks and fix them. They came out to our home on time, left the work site neat and tidy, and were very polite.
First they found the leaks that we had around the pool. We had several and hadn’t realized it but they were all located and repaired. Then the pool was drained, the sides were ground down to remove the old coating and then acid washed to remove the residue. After that was completed, the new tile borders were put in place around the pool and spa edges followed by our new lagoon surface. This took place over the course of about a week and a half.
